Engaging Fishers to Sea Turtle Release

Reducing the impacts of bycatch on sea turtle populations is one of the main objectives of "Conservation of Marine Turtles in the Mediterranean Region" project and #SeaTuMed sub-project.

In order to achieve this we engage fishers in marine conservation through the safe release of endangered marine species. 

In the video, fishers in Gulf of Gabes in Tunisia release a sea turtle bycaught in their nets back into the sea.
