Marine Turtle Bulletin

The Marine Turtle Bulletin created for the MAVA Donors Fair in Tunisia (04-05 July 2022) presents the efforts of the partnership across the Mediterannean during 2021 nesting season. The editorial piece gives interesting information on nesting data and conservation efforts in several Mediterranean countries. NGOs, scientists, volunteers, international institutions and the local communities united to save sea turtles.

Reconfirming a strong partnership

With a dedicated booth at the MAVA Donors Fair held in Tunisia from 04 - 05 July, the project Conservation of Marine Turtles in the Mediterranean Region, aims to enter its 3rd phase. Being implemented in 13 countries across the Mediterranean, the MAVA Funded project will end at the end of October 2022. That is why a dedicated Donors Fair was organised in Tunisia by the MAVA Foundation. The partnership of the project has a dedicated booth at the Fair, where donors and project representatives can discuss about the future of sea turtle conservation in the Mediterranean. The partnership is showing beyond doubt its strong will to work for the sustainability of the project in the years to come.

“My Name is Blue” Documentary - Special Screening in Athens

After 1 year in the making, the documentary of the project “Conservation of Marine Turtles in the Mediterranean Region”, created by Mind The Bump Productions is finally ready. To initiate the screening journey of this work, which is the legacy of this Pan-Mediterranean project, a special event is being organised in “Technopolis City of Athens”, the biggest cultural center in Athens Greece, city center. The screening will take place on the 18th of June in the renovated amphitheater of Technopolis “Miltiadis Evert” and is being organized by MEDASSET – Mediterranean Association to Save the Sea Turtles, on behalf of all project partners.
